Hi,
we are setting up a marketplace similar to www.emoneypool.coom or www.roscafinance.com and we are struggling to find an ACH payment processor aggregator for our services…
can you help please?
Thanks
Most probably, you are likely to continue the struggle… I don’t know where exactly (in which country) you would like to set up your online marketplace, but in the US any ACH transaction is associated with ACH return risk. This risk is doubled when we are talking about a marketplace, because the initial transaction amount is split among multiple affiliates. It is very problematic to get the money back from these affiliates if an ACH return comes in. So, if you want to be an ACH aggregator for an online marketplace, and you want to partner with some bank, the bank is likely to agree to this partnership only if you have either large assets in this bank or a serious investor that can back you up with reputation and, again, assets. Otherwise, the bank will, probably, refuse, because a standard pricing policy for ACH transactions is 4-12 cents per transaction. The bank would not want to face the risk of ACH returns that the transactions you are processing might result in (in exchange for 4-12 cents of per-transaction commission).
If you were processing credit cards in addition to ACH payments, you could, potentially, find a processor/acquirer for both payment types. Anyway, you would, probably, have to find some intermediary entity (between your business and the bank), because, usually, banks are not handling such arrangements themselves.
If you are interested in processing in the USA, you can address ZiftPay. Perhaps, they might be able to help (providing you are processing both card and ACH payments). If you are looking for a processor to handle just ACH payments, it might be very problematic to find one.
